I’m John Mumbower — a Senior Studio Artist and Creative Strategist with over 20 years of experience building scalable brand systems across print, digital, live events, and experiential environments.

 

I currently serve as a Senior Studio Artist at AbelsonTaylor, one of the most awarded healthcare advertising agencies in the U.S., where I support global product launches and high-impact campaigns across digital platforms, large-format installations, and medical conference environments. My work contributes to multi-million and billion-dollar brand portfolios recognized by Clio Health, MM+M, and The One Show.

 

I’ve helped modernize studio workflows through the implementation of an enterprise-wide Digital Asset Management system and as a contributing member of the agency’s AI Center of Excellence — evaluating and integrating emerging creative tools into real-world production pipelines.

 

Beyond agency work, I build brands from the ground up.

 

I founded John Mumbower Studio, a boutique creative practice focused on identity systems, packaging, experiential design, and scalable campaign execution. I’ve also launched and directed consumer-facing ventures including BeforeTheCruise.com, an e-commerce lifestyle brand with a mobile app and loyalty ecosystem, and ChiTown Beverages, an experiential retail brand built around live event activations and immersive brand environments.

 

Across these ventures, I’ve led everything from identity development and digital strategy to packaging systems, booth graphics, operational execution, and customer experience design.
